Preparing Your Quilt

The following recommendations on preparing your quilt top will help us get it done more quickly  and reduce problems.

  •  Press your top and backing. Trim excess seams and points.

  •  Be sure all seams are secure and stray threads are removed.

  •  Remove selvages from seams and backing in order to reduce puckering.

  •  Backing and Batting must be at least 4 inches wider all around than the quilt top.

  •  If your quilt is directional, please indicate top and bottom.

  •  Do not baste or pin your quilt top to the batting and backing. All layers must be separate.
